How far along: 31 weeks, 1 day
Total weight gain: 29 pounds...and I swear 10 pounds are water weight. I'm constantly puffy and my fingers feel so tight while looking like sausages...real attractive!
Maternity clothes? Maternity leggings are my friend this week as we celebrate our Thanksgiving potluck at work. I plan on having them on repeat all through the holidays!
Stretch marks? I haven't found any but my skin is definitely stretching and tight. I feel like it's itchy most days and can't imagine it getting any bigger.
Sleep: I would say nonexistent after last night. I was up from 2:30AM till 5AM while baby girl was twirling and shaking it. I couldn't believe how much she was moving AND that I was actually awake at that horrible hour. I'm convinced the 3AM wake up calls I've been experiencing are my body preparing me to wake up when she's actually here.
Best moment this week: Ronnie and I signed a new lease for a two bedroom apartment this weekend. We’re really excited to have the extra space for family to stay and visit while holding all of Baby J’s stuff. We also went to my cousin, Lindsey’s, gender reveal this weekend. We were so excited for her and her husband, Wes, to find out the gender of their baby in front of family and friends. They’re having a GIRL! I’m so excited for our babes to be sweet friends and grow up together.
Miss anything? Same as last week...I’m just ready for her to be here!
Movement: She is twirling and spinning most nights and I’m feeling little kicks in the morning. We have an ultrasound next week to see her position and I still can’t tell if she’s head down or horizontal or switching back and forth.
Food cravings: WATER…I’m constantly thirsty and can’t drink enough water to make the tightness in my hands and feet go away. Obviously that makes for multiple trips to the bathroom which is oh so fun. Milkshakes don’t sound so bad either.
Labor Signs: I think I experienced my first Braxton Hicks today. My stomach got real tight and my back started to hurt but then it went away after awhile. I also keep feeling like my stomach is being poked my needles but I’m not sure what that’s about.
Symptoms: I think the theme here is puffiness and water weight! So much fun and I’ve been told the most consistent part of the third trimester. My friend, Jenna, was telling me her shoes started to not fit towards the end. I can see now how that happens.
Looking forward to: Our next doctor appointment we have a sonogram scheduled and I can’t wait to see our girl.
