How Many Weeks: 36 weeks, 2 days
Total weight gain: 38 pounds..I lost a pound at my last appointment this past Thursday. They told me it looks like I'm retaining water give how swollen my calves, ankles, and feet are.
Maternity clothes? Leggings everyday and I only have about 4 tops that I can wear to work that are appropriate and fit.
Stretch marks? Still nothing but I don't think my skin can stretch any further. My belly button is also about to pop.
Sleep: Hit and miss most nights. Since moving we switched our mattress around so I've been trying to get used to that. I wake up multiple times a night just to look at the clock and realize its only 12, or 3, or 4:30. I almost rather have here so have something to do each time I wake up :)
Best moment this week: We moved! We're all settled in our new apartment closer to Ronnie's new job. We haven't set up anything baby related yet, but plan on putting the bassinet and dresser together after Christmas. It's so nice to have extra space and our little Christmas tree out of storage and up in our living room.
Miss anything? My body! I'm so ready to not have aches and pains anymore, being able to breathe normally sounds great, and not having to pee every 5 minutes. I'm hopeful the next 4 weeks go quickly.
Movement: Lots of moving lately up high in my belly or low down by my hips. I'm wondering if all the mints I've been eating have had her moving more.
Food cravings: Mints...I've eaten two tins of Altoids in the last two weeks. Lots of gum and peppermints at my office. I think it's a texture thing of crunching the mints between my teeth and the minty coolness feeling. I did Google it there were a few websites that said it may be a sign of an iron deficiency.
Labor Signs: Consistent Braxton Hicks and lots of tightening and cramping. At my last appointment my doctor said I might deliver around 38 weeks because I'm already starting to dilate and my cervix has started to thin. I'm hopeful she comes a little early just because we're so ready to meet her!
Symptoms: Pretty much every typical symptom at this point. Lots of swelling, puffy-ness, tired, uncomfortable, all of it :) I did have a dream that I was sleeping and waiting for my water to break. Maybe that's a little intuition of what's to come!
Looking forward to: Christmas! It's our second and last Christmas together as just the two of us. I'm trying to cherish the time we have left of just us. It makes me a little nostalgic and sad to think of all the things that will change. I know that having this sweet baby girl will bring so much joy to our lives that we won't miss much!
