Weekend Review

Weekend Review

Friday felt like it was never going to arrive this past week, so when it did I couldn't help but be excited the weekend was here.

Ronnie and I had a date night at the mall food court that made me remember why I don't eat at the mall food court. :)...yes all the food smells good but when you watch them cook that teriyaki chicken you start to question where they found that meat. We headed over to the AT&T store and I swear the kid who helped us knew we were coming because he said all the right things to convince me that Ronnie should totally get an iPhone 6. I was suckered into saying yes with the promise of a Paradise cookie when we finished.

Saturday came with lots of sunshine finally! I had almost forgotten what a sunny day looked like. We started off our morning with Starbucks and headed downtown to a calligraphy class at The Bell Jar hosted by Lauren Essl. It was SO much fun! There were about 8 of us in the class and Ronnie was the only boy. I was so proud of his willingness to be there especially with the amount of pink everywhere.

He has a love of typography and thought it was a great experience to get away from his computer and still be creative. I learned I need more patience with myself!

We headed to lunch after the class and ate outside in the sunshine at HG Sply Co. I loved people watching and being next door to Steel City Pops...coffee is my favorite!

We headed back home to hang out before the Kevin James show  in Grand Prairie. Ronnie is OBSESSED with King of Queens so when I saw tickets on sale for the comedy show, I knew I had to buy them for him. We had such a great time laughing. We bought thought he did a great job and had some pretty funny jokes about kids and people who are lactose intolerant.

Sunday's time change was a rude awakening and brought about a slow morning of streaming church online. We ran a few errands and headed over to Irving to check out Home Goods. I'm in love with this store and it reminds me of being back home in Connecticut for some reason!

We ended the the weekend with dinner at my parents house. It was so great laughing and catching up after not seeing them for a few weeks.

I'm hoping next weekend is just as fun!
