Our First Anniversary
Ronnie and I celebrated our one year anniversary this past Sunday. We celebrated by having donuts for breakfast and a trip to the Dallas Arboretum! We spent the morning exchanging cards and gifts. Ronnie got me the most beautiful blush pink roses and a sweet card. Earlier this year he bought me a pair of Toms wedges I'd had my eye on that went on major sale.
We decided that each year we'll make a tradition of rewriting our vows and sharing them on our anniversary. Ronnie found the cutest card that had little envelopes in it that went along with each vow he read. It was so thoughtful and went along with the paper theme for year one.
I had a hard time figuring out what to get him so I went with concert tickets. I mistakenly mixed up the band I thought he liked and bought the wrong tickets. We might sell them or go anyways and have a fun date night in May.
While at the arboretum Ronnie started to feel kind of sick. We left after an hour and once we got home it was clear he had the flu or some type of severe stomach bug. I ran out and got saltines, ginger ale, and chicken soup to help him but he just slept most of the afternoon and through the night.
Ronnie was so bummed that he was sick most of the day. I just felt so horrible that he was throwing up so much. We've decided to make up for not going out to dinner sometime over the next few weekends. His birthday is coming up in May so we might combine the occasions!
Here are a few photos of our day!
It's so crazy how fast the year has gone by. I'm so thankful that I've gotten to experience all the highs and lows of this first year with Ronnie. Marriage is such a blessing and I'm so excited for all that year two has in store for us! Maybe babies and a house...who knows!? ;)
