My Favorite Baking Tools
I LOVE to bake...in case you haven't noticed my Recipes tab has only desserts listed. That may or may not be purposeful :) or just an obvious example of my sweet tooth. I thought it would be helpful to share my favorite baking tools that I consistently reach for when baking.
Kitchen-Aid Mixer - we received this beauty as a wedding gift and my life has been better ever since. It is life changing ya'll and a MUST for any baker.
OXO Good Grips Measuring Cups - I've had the same Betty Crocker mixing cups since college and recently most of the handles had broken off the cups. Ronnie found these on Amazon and I'm thorougly impressed. They are sturdy and solid and don't bend when I scoop out cups of flour like my old cups.
Ice Cream Scoop - These come in all sizes and are perfect for scooping cookies, filling cupcake or muffin tins, and of course ice cream. When I used to make my favorite muffins before having this scoop I'd make a huge mess of batter dripping off my spoon. Not anymore! These make the perfect sized cookies and fill muffin tins without the drippy mess.
Silpat Baking Mat - My mom got me two of these for Christmas and I haven't had to buy parchment paper since! They act as a nonstick mat so that your cookies, meatballs, french fries don't stick while baking. They can be used for anything and super easy to rinse off for cleaning.
Cupcake Carrying Caddy - I bake every week for my husband's office and this carrying caddy has been so helpful in transporting muffins, cupcakes, sheet cakes, and more. It has a tray that has little cut outs for full size cupcakes and mini muffins on the opposite side. The treats don't slide around when placed in the cut outs. Ronnie might look a little funny carrying this into the office but appreciates carrying one caddy as opposed to multiple ziploc containers.
Kitchen Timer - All bakers know how important it is to keep track of how long something has been in the oven or mixing in the mixer. I used to have this adorable ice cream kitchen timer. I mistakenly left it too close to a hot burner and it melted and stopped working. Using my iPhone is not as fun as having this little cutie on my stove top.
I hope you enjoyed learning about my favorite baking gadgets. What do you swear by in your kitchen?
