Hi.

Welcome to She Is Blessed. Hope you follow along on my journey through the adventures of marriage, becoming a mom, creations in the kitchen, my love of all things sweet, and my journey of faith.

15 Weeks

15 Weeks

How far along: 15 weeks, 1 day
Total weight gain: I weighed myself last week and have gained 1.5 pounds. My doctor has encouraged me to limit weight gain in the first and second trimester by not over indulging and eating whatever I want with being pregnant as an excuse. I ate Kraft Mac & Cheese twice last week for the first time since middle school and am thankful to have gotten it out of my system.
Maternity clothes? I bought a Belly Band last week to help extend my normal pants for work, and two shirts from Target that are definitely too big/too long but it'll work. My mom also ordered me some work pants from Gap with the full panel.  I was really apprehensive about wearing them but they are SO comfortable.
Stretch marks? Still none :)
Sleep: In bed by 9:30 or 10 this week. My exhaustion is way less this week than the first trimester. I still nap on weekends but trying to keep them earlier in the day so I can still sleep at night.
Best moment this week: Ronnie and I spent a night downtown in Dallas at the W hotel. It was nice to mix up our date night and go somewhere new and feel like we were away even though we were in our own city. I'll miss the spontaneity of nights like that when Baby J comes.
Miss anything? I miss having my body to myself and feeling normal. The nausea is still happening everyday between 9 & 10 and stays until I go to bed. Everyone I've talked to says this should change during Week 15. I'm so hopeful.
Movement: Nothing this week.
Food cravings: Not much this week. I've become increasingly more hungry as of last week but nothing really sticks out. Mostly cereal, apples, grapes, soup and salad from Panera for lunch.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Ronnie makes egg whites and turkey bacon every morning and every morning I breathe through my mouth so I don't have to smell it. It literally goes into every room of our apartment so I've started spraying air freshener after he cooks. I rush out of the house to keep from smelling it because I've gagged multiple times.
Gender:  We find out in 4-5 weeks!
Labor Signs: Nope!
Symptoms: Nausea, Congestion headaches, and I'm constantly hungry.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to: We leave for vacation soon and I'm so looking forward to seeing the ocean and spending time in a new place with Ronnie.
