How Many Weeks: 38 weeks, 3 days
Total weight gain: 41 total so far. A little more than I was hoping for but I'm staying positive about eating healthy and walking once the baby is here.
Maternity clothes? I probably only wear three things these days. Leggings and long sweaters are my uniform for work. I've given up all hope of wearing anything except yoga pants on the weekends while running errands or relaxing at home.
Stretch marks? None so far but I've been consistent with the elasticity oil after I get out of the shower every day.
Sleep: I slept until 8:30 this past Sunday which was amazing! I haven't slept in that late in months, even before I was pregnant. I can feel myself getting tired quickly and earlier than usual. I'm just thankful for the extra sleep from this past weekend.
Best moment this week: Going to the doctor for our 38 week ultrasound! It was so great to sweet our sweet baby girl and get her measurements. She's measuring pretty big at 8 pounds, 7 ounces. I know that those are just an estimate but I think she's going to be a big baby! Hear heart rate, fluid levels, and movement are all right on track and the doctor is confident she's healthy which makes Ronnie and I so thankful.
Miss anything? Honestly, at this point, I'm just ready for her to be here and am focusing on the next few weeks. I know there will be a lot of things that change and will no longer happen, but I know I won't even be thinking of that once she's here.
Movement: Some days there is a lot of wiggling and others she's pretty quiet. During our ultrasound the tech told us she's further towards my back which could be why I'm not feeling them as strongly.
Food cravings: Mints, mints, mints. Lots of water. I'm so over food lately. Nothing really sounds great but I also get so full once I start eating. I had a coffee drink of Starbucks and didn't want to even eat lunch, I was so full. I'm hopeful to get my appetite back and make smart choices once I start nursing.
Labor Signs: Lots of tightness, contraction like pains. I've dilated to a 2 as of my last appointment but she's still slightly higher up and towards my back. My doctor things I'm progressing well and that my body has started the process.
Symptoms: Fatigue, aches, and pains are the most prevalent right now. Nothing new to report since last week.
Looking forward to: counting down the days to meet our girl. Ronnie and I are trying to spend as much time together as possible before she's here and we are no longer a family of two. I'm hopeful we can squeeze in a date night next weekend and focus on relaxing until she gets here!
